TheatreworksUSA tours its musicals and plays, guest artists and arts--in-education programs nationwide. Our repertoire includes productions that fall into three general categories - history & biography, literary adaptations, and original "issue" shows, such as discrimination, peer-pressure, literacy and substance abuse, among many others.

A Christmas Carol - 'Tis the season for merriment and fun! Catch the holiday spirit with Scrooge, Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit and all the rest in Theatreworks' heartwarming musical based on the Dickens classic. (approximately one-hour in length)
Anne of Green Gables - The classic book, beloved by generations, comes to life as a new musical. When 12-year-old orphan Anne Shirley arrives at her new home at Green Gables, she turns the entire community upside-down with her indomitable scope for imagination. An endearing story about love, family and home.
Charlotte's Web - The miraculous Charlotte and the lovable Wilbur star in E.B. White's ever-popular tale of bravery, selfless love and the true meaning of friendship.
Dr. Dolittle - Inspired by the classic book, author (and World War I lieutenant) Hugh Lofting reaches out to his son during wartime by writing a magical story about a kind-hearted doctor who can talk to the animals. When Doctor John Dolittle learns that a mysterious disease is afflicting the monkeys of Africa, he sets off on a musical adventure to come to the animals' aid.
Freedom Train - Harriet Tubman, the intrepid conductor of the Underground Railroad, comes to life in an extraordinary production, with traditional music of the period. One of Theatreworks' biggest hits!
Henry and Mudge - Sometimes it's tough being a kid, but life is a lot easier -- and a lot more fun -- when you've got an extremely large, slobbery, canine buddy to share your adventures! Follow the exploits of Henry and Mudge throughout the seasons in this new musical based on Cynthia Rylant's best-selling books.
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie & Other Story Books - A sparkling revue comprised of several mini-musicals based on popular children's books, including Amazing Grace; Owen , Martha Speaks, Borreguita and the Coyote, Master Man, Math Curse, and Imogene's Antlers.
If You Give a Pig a Pancake and Other Story Books - If you liked Theatreworks USA's If You give a Mouse a Cookie & Other Story Books, you'll love our latest production of mini-muiscals based on your students' favorite books including Diary of a Worm, Fluffy the Classroom Guinea Pig, Horace & Morris but Mostly Dolores, How I Became a Pirate, If You Give a Pig a Pancake, Lilly's Big Day, The Paper Bag Princess, and Ruby Mae Has Something to Say. Junie B. Jones - Hurray, Hurray! Junie B. Jones is finally graduating from kindergarten and is ready for first grade, at last! But getting used to the whole new group of friends, a new teacher, and new glasses is challenging, even for irrepressible Junie B. Follow her adventures as she writes everything down in her "top-seecret personal beeswax" journal. A new musical based on the books by Barbara Park.
Max and Ruby - Big sisters have big responsibilities, especially when the little brother is a big trouble-maker! Follow the escapades of bunny siblings Max and Ruby in this new musical inspired by Rosemary Wells' books and based on the popular television program on Nick Jr. and Noggin.
Nate the Great - Who do you call when there's a mystery you just can't solve? Nate the Great of course! He has found lost balloons, slippers, chickens, and even a lost goldfish. But, can he solve the baffling case of the missing painting? Find out in this new musical based on the book by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat.
Romeo & Juliet - The timeless tale of star-crossed lovers and the deadly feud between their families has been set in the future and Shakespeare's classic text has been made fascinatingly relevant for teen audiences. Our largest production to date.
Seussical - "Oh, the thinks you can think" when Dr. Seuss' best-loved characters and stories hit the stage in this unforgettable musical adventure by Broadway veterans Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens. The noble Horton the Elephant, the one-feathered bird Gertrude McFuzz and the antics of the Cat in the Hat steal the spotlight in one of Theatreworks' largest-scale productions to date!
The Color of Justice - A brilliant fighter for human rights and a courageous little girl take on the doctrine of Aseparate but equal. Follow their case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court in this gripping drama about Thurgood Marshall's struggle against school segregation, Brown v. Board of Education.
The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe - A thrilling musical based on C.S. Lewis' enchanting adventure of four children transported to the fabled land of Narnia.
The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere - "One if by land, two if by sea..." Join Paul Revere on his landmark midnight ride to warn Americans of the British Redcoats' arrival in Boston -- a humorous and inspirational musical about this true history of the Revolutionary War.
The Mystery Of King Tut - Theatreworks brings Egyptian history to life in this fascinating musical adventure, linking Tutankhamen and the man who made him famous, archeologist Howard Carter. When Carter finally uncovers the hidden tomb of A the boy king, a mysterious tale of political betrayal emerges.
The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks - It's impossible for Michael to keep his room clean! But when he and his neatnik brother get a new plant, all of his stinky socks mysteriously disappear. Meanwhile, his horticultural wonder gets taller and taller... A new musical based on Nancy McArthur's best-selling series of books.
